Stadtsteinach is well placed for exploring this region with its interesting towns, forest walks and the Fichtel Mountains nearby and this is a comfortable base. Occupying a quiet position in gently undulating countryside with tree-clad hills rising to the east, there are 80 static caravans and space for 100 tourers. Brick main roads give way to hard access roads with pitches on either side, all of which have electricity (16A). The site is on a gentle slope, pitches having been terraced where necessary and there are some hardstandings for motorcaravans. High hedges and trees separate pitches or groups of pitches in some areas giving the effect of camping in small clearings.

Stadtsteinach is 22 km. north of Bayreuth. Take exit 39 from the A9/E51 Nürnberg - Berlin autobahn and travel north on road 303 to Stadsteinach. Site is well signed.
