Alan Rogers Review
Sonnenwiese is a first class, family run campsite where care has been taken to make everyone feel at home – there is even an insect hotel! The site is tastefully landscaped with lots of flowers, an ornamental pond crossed by a wooden bridge and large grass areas extending to the river. Situated between wooded hills to the north and bordering the Weser river to the south, this 400 pitch site offers 100 touring pitches, all with electricity and most also having water and drainage. In addition, there are special pitches with a private shower, toilet and washbasin unit. The site is particularly orientated towards families with children.

Getting there...
Leave A2 autobahn at exit 31, 32 or 33 and head for Vlotho. In Vlotho, cross the Weser river bridge and turn right towards Rinteln and after 3 km. on the right are the entrances to two campsites. Sonnenwiese is on the left hand side at the end of the entrance road.
