Camping Santa Marta

Cullera, Alacant, Comunidad Valenciana

Alan Rogers Review

Santa Marta is beautifully located on the slopes of a mountain and is shaded by many old Mediterranean umbrella pine trees. Originally a municipal site, it was recently purchased by a group of four campsites and is being fully renovated and modernised. There are 250 small, terraced pitches, 235 for touring with 16A electricity. Access can be difficult due to the many trees. An olive grove has been bought to make 18 motorcaravan pitches. Marta was a local saint and the campsite is named after her shrine which is located high above on the mountain. This shrine is accessible for good hikers by a trail starting at the ancient village bull ring at the entrance to the campsite.
