Plein Sud is a small, friendly site, immaculately kept and with a very French ambience. Of the 110 grassy pitches separated by hedges, 40 are available for touring. They are of a reasonable size and all have electricity and water; most also have drainage. Twenty pitches have site-owned mobile homes, cabins or tents for rent, the rest have privately-owned mobiles. The touring pitches at the far end of this long, narrow site are particularly peaceful. Only 800 m. away, via another campsite across the road and through a strip of forest, is a long stretch of safe, sandy beach.
Facilities
Two well maintained and immaculate sanitary blocks provide pushbutton showers and washbasins in cabins. Good facilities for disabled visitors. Baby room. Dishwashing and laundry facilities. Small bar with TV and terrace (July/Aug). Attractive heated pool with paddling pool (15/5-15/9). Play areas. Multisport court. Table tennis. Bread and milk can be ordered daily at reception (high season) and a variety of outside caterers provide takeaways (Tue-Sun). Bicycle hire. Pony and trap rides for young children. Children’s club, activities for teenagers and family entertainment (July/Aug). WiFi planned for 2011.

Getting there...
Saint Jean-de-Monts is 55 km. northwest of La Roche-sur-Yon. Site is about 4 km. north of the town on the D38 towards Notre Dame-de-Monts, on the right almost opposite Camping L’Abri des Pins.
