Camping Parque Natural de Monfrague

Malpartida de Plasencia, Cáceres, Extremadura

Alan Rogers Review

Situated on the edge of the Monfrague National Park, this well managed site owned by the Barrado family, has fine views to the Sierra de Mirabel and delightful surrounding countryside. Many of the 130 good sized grass pitches are on slightly sloping, terraced ground. Scattered trees offer a degree of shade, there are numerous water points and 10A electricity. It would prove difficult to find a more suitable location for those that savour tranquillity. On rare occasions, a goods train travels along the nearby railway line. Created as a national park in 1979, Monfrague is now recognised as one of the best locations in Europe for anyone interested in birdwatching.
