Alan Rogers Review
This extremely large site is very well planned in that just 60% of the 127 hectares is used for the pitches, resulting in lots of open space around the pitch area. It is the largest of the Istraturist group of sites. Of the 2,090 pitches, 1,800 are for touring units, all with 10A electricity. Some pitches have shade. There are around 300 mobile homes, 70 for rent. Some noise is transmitted from the road alongside the site. The site is very popular with Dutch campers and a friendly and happy atmosphere prevails, even in the busiest times. The very long curved beach is of rock and shingle with grassy sunbathing areas. There are many watersports on offer and a new swimming pool complex has four pools, cascades and fountains.
Facilities
Ten toilet blocks include two bathrooms with deep tubs. Two blocks have children’s WCs and there are facilities for disabled campers. The site has plans to update these facilities. Fresh water and waste water points only at toilet blocks. Motorcaravan service point. Range of shops and supermarket. Bars, snack bars and restaurant (musical entertainment some evenings) all open early morning to midnight (one until the small hours). Swimming pool complex. Tennis. Fishing (permit from Umag). Minigolf. Watersports. WiFi (free in some areas).
