Lake Orta is a delightful, less visited small lake just west of Lake Maggiore. The site is on a considerable slope, and most of the 90 touring pitches (all with 4A electricity) are on the top grass terrace with spectacular views across the lake to the mountains beyond. There are some superb lakeside pitches across the main road (linked by a pedestrian underpass) although there is some traffic noise here. Amenities include a large games and entertainment room and a traditional Italian bar and restaurant serving good value family meals. Some English is spoken by the Guarnori family, who take pride in maintaining their uncomplicated site to a high standard.
Facilities
Three modern sanitary blocks are clean and well maintained providing mainly British style toilets, coin operated showers and an excellent unit for disabled visitors. Laundry facilities. Motorcaravan services. Good quality shop. Bar and restaurant with basic menu serving good value Italian family meals. Playground. Large games/TV room. WiFi in reception/bar area. Fishing. Bicycle hire. Boat launching. Lake swimming and watersports.

Getting there...
Lake Orta is 85 km. northwest of Milan and just west of Lake Maggiore. Site is on the SR229 between Borgomanero and Omega, 600 m. north of the turn to Orta San Giulio. There is a parking area for arrivals on the lake side of the road, but reception and main entrance are on the opposite side.
