Camping Nettuno is owned and run by the friendly Mauro family, who speak excellent English. Nestled in the bay of Marina del Cantone, it is situated in the protected area of Punta Campanella, away from the busiest tourist spots. As a result the approach roads are difficult and narrow. This tiny campsite of only 42 pitches (4A) is spread over three levels above the pebbly beach. Up several steps and across the road are the amenities, reception, shop, and dive centre and then above this is a restaurant with magnificent views over the bay. Pitches are informally arranged, some with a fabulous sea view (extra charge) and most with shade. Because the site is tucked into the hillside pitches are small and close together but there is plenty of cheerful assistance to find the best place. There are also about 50 mobile homes. The site has two pathways to the nearby beach that unusually for the area involves little walking or steps.

Getting there...
From A3 motorway (Naples - Salerno), take Castellamare di Stabia exit onto S145. Pass Castellamare, follow signs to Meta di Sorrento through Vico Equense bypass tunnel and turn off towards Positano in Meta. After 5 km. turn to S. Agata dei due Golfi (6.5 km) then follow signs to Nerano and finally Marina del Cantone. Site is well signed and entrance is 50 m. past the entrance to reception and dive centre. You will need to go on for 100 m. to turn round in order to enter site with its steep and narrow entrance.
