Mariposa is a sprawling beachside site with its own access to a fine sand beach, and it has a comfortable feel. The pitches are of various sizes (50-80 sq.m); those on uneven ground are best suited for tents, while those on gravel are for caravans and motorcaravans (some alongside the sea). Some pitches have shade but all have 6A electrical connections. Cars must be parked away from the pitches. There is an entertainment programme in high season. The amenities are by the site entrance and include a pizzeria, bar and restaurant with TV. The small shop is also here.

Getting there...
Alghero is on the northwest coast, about 35 km. southwest of Sassari. Mariposa is at the north end of the town. Follow the signs on the beach road, but watch for one-way systems which you have to navigate.
