Camping Los Villares

Córdoba, Córdoba, Andalucia

Alan Rogers Review

This is a site with a difference. Unusually it is part of one of Spain’s natural parks and the environmental rules must be strictly followed. For peaceful, simple camping with no frills, there is an area with electricity for 30 units about five minutes walk from a toilet block, restaurant and reception. The 170 tent pitches are delightfully informal. Bountiful pine, olives, gums and other trees provide shade and the setting is absolutely natural. Thoughtfully some natural stone tables and benches are scattered around. The natty little bar and restaurant provide a simple menu and drinks – practise your Spanish here!

Location

Getting there...
Site is 7 km. north of Córdoba on the north side of the river which bisects the city. It is simpler to go to the centre to find the small access road to Parque and site. Follow signs for Parador (state run hotel) or Parque Periurbano (small camping sign inside fairly large green edged signs). Also follow signs for municipal camping which help. All these bring you past the municipal camping — then look for a major right turn and follow clear signs out of city. Site is a stiff climb out of the city — the views are great!
