This is a quiet and peaceful, spacious campsite laid out on a hillside deep in the Parc Naturel Régional du Morvan, with views over the lake, meadows and surrounding hills. The spring water lake is ideal for fishing and swimming. There is a small bar and restaurant serving good quality regional meals and a well stocked shop with local produce. There are 60 terraced pitches, with 57 for touring, 36 with electricity (10/16A). The site is not suitable for double-axle or large outfits or people with walking difficulties, as the site roads are steep and narrow. Large RVs are not accepted.

Facilities

Traditional and modern buildings with all necessary facilities and a heated family/disabled room lie at the top of the site, a fair distance uphill from some pitches. Washing machine and dryer. Shop. Bar and restaurant (1/5-30/9). WiFi. Lake swimming. Fishing. Playgrounds. Caravan storage. American RVs not accepted, site not really suitable for large units.

Location

Getting there...
St Léger-de-Fougeret is about 10 km. south of Château-Chinon. From Château-Chinon take D27 south for 3 km, then fork right on D157 for 5.5 km. to St Léger. Continue through village, follow signs to site 1 km.

  The 7,000 m2 lake contains over 1,500 kg. of carp, which can be fished up to 16 kg. There is a no-kill policy, and fish are restocked in October.
