Les Places Dorées is, in high season, a busy, popular site with a lively programme of activities and entertainment. At other times it is quieter, but still has plenty to offer. There are 288 grassy pitches, of which just 60 are available for touring units, the quietest being towards the back of the site. Those nearer the leisure complex can be noisy in high season with the bar and disco closing late. Pitches are separated by hedges and there is some shade from maturing trees. A 20 minute walk will take you to a long sandy beach.

Saint Jean-de-Monts is 55 km. northwest of La Roche-sur-Yon. Site is 4 km. north of St Jean-de-Monts on the D38 St Jean-de-Monts - Notre Dames-de-Monts road on the eastern side, almost opposite L’Abri des Pins.
