On the Ile de Ré, you are never far from the sea and the location of this campsite is no exception. It is just 800 metres from the sea with sea views from some of the pitches. English is spoken at reception and the staff go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The 20 level touring pitches are in a separate area from 143 chalets for rent, in an area of light woodland. There are few water points. The trees provide some shade, but the very low hedges provide little privacy as the width and length of the pitches varies.
Facilities
Two new but traditionally designed sanitary blocks are clean and well maintained. Both have unisex facilities including showers and vanity type units in cabins. Separate facilities for disabled visitors. Laundry facilities. Shop, restaurant, takeaway and bar with TV (all 2/4-24/9). Heated outdoor swimming pool (21/5-24/9). Play area. Children’s club and entertainment (high season). Fridge hire. Bicycle hire. Max. 1 dog. WiFi throughout (charged).
