Camping le Point du Jour has a very French flavour and is an ideal location for family holidays as it has direct access to a fine sandy beach. There are 142 pitches bordered by shrubs and hedging, including 20 occupied by mobile homes and chalets (10 for hire). Although there are quite a few seasonal units, most have to be removed for high season. All touring pitches have 10A electricity, including those on the sea-dyke looking down onto the beach. Facilities are simple, but there is a smart new heated pool with retractable roof.
Facilities
Two toilet blocks (one heated) provide washbasins in cubicles, pushbutton showers, and fairly basic facilities for babies and for disabled visitors. Laundry facilities. Motorcaravan service points. All-purpose room with small bar (serving basic drinks and snacks except in very low season), projector for films and football matches, pool table and exercise machines. Play area. Bicycle hire. Bread delivery. Entertainment and activity programme in high season. Internet access and WiFi in reception area.

Getting there...
Merville-Franceville is 17 km. northeast of Caen. From A13 motorway at junction 29 take D400 towards Dives-sur-Mer and bear left on D400a to Cabourg. Follow signs for Merville-Franceville along D514. Site is on right in 2 km. From Ouistreham Car Ferry (16 km) follow signs for Caen and turn east on D514 over Pegasus Bridge and through Merville to site on left.
