A warm welcome is given by the English-peaking owners, Martine and Eric Malard, who make every effort to ensure that your stay is enjoyable. On site is a small, attractive lake with fishing and a large sports field. Next to the small swimming pool and paddling pool are a pleasant bar with terrace and a dancing area. There are 152 pitches of which 91 are for touring units, all with electricity; water taps may be less close. The site has 24 mobile homes for rent, including one equipped for disabled visitors, and there are 37 which are privately owned.
Facilities
Three very different toilet blocks, one modern, one small but functional and one very basic, although a replacement is planned for 2011. All are unisex with washbasins in cubicles, some controllable showers, two family shower cubicles with baby bath and child’s toilet, washing machines and a dryer, dishwashing and laundry sinks. Facilities for disabled visitors. Motorhome service point. Bar serving simple meals (all season) with evening entertainment and takeaway service (July/Aug and busy weekends). Play area. Table tennis. Tennis court. Volleyball. Pétanque. Bicycle hire. WiFi (charged) to cover most of site. Programme of activities and entertainment (July/Aug).

Getting there...
Bois de Céné is 47 km. southwest of Nantes and 10 km. north of Challans, at the junction of D21 Bouin - La Garnache and D28 Châteauneuf - Machecoul. Site is south of the village where the D58 from Challans meets the D21 and D28 and is signed.
