L’Abri des Pins is situated on the outskirts of St Jean-de-Monts and is separated from the sea and a long sandy beach by a strip of pine forest. The site has 218 pitches, 30 of which are for touring units, most with electricity and water; they are separated by hedges and most have shade. Seventy pitches have mobile homes and chalets for rent, the rest being occupied by privately-owned mobiles. It has an impressive entrance, good leisure facilities which include a recently added indoor pool and the sanitary blocks are modern and clean. From the site, it is a pleasant 15 minute walk to the beach.

St Jean-de-Monts is 55 km. northwest of La Roche-sur-Yon. Site is 4 km. north of town centre on western side of D38 Notre Dame-de-Monts road, almost opposite Les Places Dorées.
