In the Jura, by the rippling waters of the River Loue, this spacious eight-hectare site has 220 pitches (193 for touring, 70 on the riverbank). All are large, grassy and level with 10A electricity (Europlugs). In low season, this is a perfect site for couples; in high season it is ideal for family holidays with its children’s club (5-11 yrs), two evening events per week in the bar/restaurant (DJ or live music), swimming pool, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, fly fishing and woodland walks in the site’s own wood. La Plage Blanche is an excellent base for exploring Dole, Arbois and its vineyards and the famous Comté cheesemakers.
Facilities
Modern, well kept sanitary facilities (heated in low season) in three blocks, one renovated for 2011, include showers, washbasins in cabins and facilities for babies and campers with disabilities. Launderette. Motorcaravan service area. Shop with basics, bar/restaurant with terrace, takeaway (all open all season). Swimming and paddling pools (1/5-30/9). Jacuzzi and sauna planned. Play area. Entertainment, activities and children’s club (1/7-30/8). TV room. Library. Volleyball. Boules. River fishing and fishing lake. Woodland walks. Canoeing. WiFi (free).

Getting there...
Ounans is 20 km. southeast of Dole. From autoroute A39 exit 6 (Dole Choisey) follow signs for Pontarlier. In Ounans turn left just before the pizzeria (campsite signposted).
