On the edge of a forest and just 1.8 kilometres from a sandy beach, la Loubine is a busy campsite close to Les Sables-d’Olonne. Under new ownership from 2011, the site has 60 grass touring pitches which are mostly shaded, all with electricity and with water points nearby. Mobile homes and chalets, many for rent, and tour operator tents occupy the remaining 300 pitches. The focal point is an excellent restaurant with an attractive covered terrace and bar with an entertainment area for karaoke and discos, plus a patio overlooking the splendid pool complex with its water slides and heated indoor pool.

Four toilet blocks have British style WCs, washbasins in cubicles and controllable showers. Facilities for disabled visitors. Hot water to dishwashing and laundry sinks. Washing machines and dryers. Chemical disposal. Shop, bar, restaurant and takeaway (15/5-15/9). Outdoor pools and heated indoor pool (all season). Tennis. Fitness room. Minigolf. Play area. Bicycle hire. Free WiFi in bar area. Internet (charged). Shuttle bus to beach (July/Aug). Dogs are not allowed in high season.

Getting there...
Olonne-sur-Mer is 5 km. north of Les Sables d’Olonne. Site is off D80 coast road between Olonne-sur-Mer and Brem-sur-Mer, clearly signed at small roundabout. From La Roche-sur-Yon via A87/D160, turn west on D949 Les Sables ring road then north on D32 to Olonne-sur-Mer. Site is signed to left in town centre.
