A pleasant, well maintained site, La Citadelle’s best feature is probably that it is within walking distance of Loches, noted for its perfect architecture and its glorious history, yet at the same time the site has a rural atmosphere. The 102 standard touring pitches are all level, of a good size and with 10A electricity. Numerous trees offer varying degrees of shade. The 27 larger serviced pitches have 16A electricity but little shade. Mobile homes (28 for hire, including 6 extra large, luxury pitches) occupy the other 48 pitches. Loches with its château and dungeons, is a gentle 500 m. walk along the river.
Facilities
Three sanitary blocks provide mainly British style WCs, washbasins (mostly in cabins) and controllable showers. Laundry facilities. Motorcaravan service point. Two baby units and provision for disabled visitors (both in need of attention). Heated swimming pool (May-Sept). Paddling pool and play area (adult supervision strongly recommended). Small bar and snack bar (1/7-31/8). Boules, volleyball and games room. Internet access and TV.

Getting there...
Loches is 45 km. southeast of Tours. Site is well signed from most directions. Do not enter town centre. Approach from roundabout by supermarket at southern end of bypass (D943). Site signed towards town centre and is on right in 800 m.
