There are pleasant views of the Black Forest from this municipal site which is within easy reach by car of Titisee, Feldberg and Todtnau, and 8 km. from the large town of Freiburg in Breisgau. It is divided into 496 numbered pitches, 380 of which are for touring, all with electricity (16A Europlug). Most pitches, which are side by side on gently sloping ground, are of quite reasonable size and clearly marked out, though there is nothing to separate them. There are some hardstanding pitches suitable for large motorhomes and RVs. From about late June to mid August it does become full.

From Freiburg take B31 road signed Donaueschingen to Kirchzarten where site is signed (it is south of the village).

Golf
The Freiburger golf club is situated east of Freiburg in the Dreisam valley. The course was created on level terrain and is framed by the mountains of the southern Black Forest.
