Hindeloopen is one of the 11 historic cities of Friesland and this site is nearby. The delightful city retains plenty of old maritime charm. Situated directly behind the embankment of the IJsselmeer, the site has 138 touring pitches (out of a total of 640), all of which have 6/16A electricity, water and a drain. There are 15 hardstandings for motorcaravans and large caravans. The pitches are around 100 sq.m. in size and are arranged in groups that are separated from each other by high hedges. The lake here is not deep and from its banks there are wonderful views of the town of Hindeloopen and the surrounding countryside.
