Het Amsterdamse Bos is a large park to the southwest of Amsterdam, one corner of which has been specifically laid out as the city’s municipal campsite and is now under family ownership. Close to Schiphol Airport (we only noticed a little noise), it is about 12 km. from central Amsterdam. The site is well laid out alongside a canal, with unmarked pitches on separate flat lawns mostly backing onto pleasant hedges and trees, with several areas of paved hardstandings. It takes 400 touring units, with 100 electrical connections (10A) and some with cable TV. An additional area is available for tents and groups.

Amsterdamse Bos and site are west of Amstelveen. From the A9 motorway take exit 6 and follow N231 to site (2nd traffic light).
