Alan Rogers Review
Set in a flat river valley on the edge of Grindelwald, one of Switzerland’s best known winter and summer resorts, Gletscherdorf enjoys wonderful mountain views, particularly of the nearby north face of the Eiger. The site’s new owners have a programme of improvements planned for the grounds, pitches and facilities. There are 120 pitches in total, 40 of which are available for touring. Most are marked and have electricity connections (10A), with a few others in an overflow field. This is, above all, a very quiet, friendly site for those who wish to enjoy the peaceful mountain air, walking, climbing and exploring with a mountain climbing school in Grindelwald.

Getting there...
To reach site, go through the town and turn right at site signs, just by the church, after the town centre. Ignore sat nav instruction to turn before this. The approach road is quite narrow and steep down hill and you should depart by the same route.
