Camping Framura

Framura, Ligúria, North West

Alan Rogers Review

Framura is an unusual, small cliff-side site of 160 pitches including just 12 pitches for touring units. These pitches are at the end of the seasonal units and are on the site of the old railway line, as is the whole steeply terraced site. The pitches themselves are fabulous as they are directly above the crystal clear waters here. Access to the site is through an old railway tunnel and there is absolutely no shade. The supporting amenities are basic but have a certain charm, some being cut into the rock face. The site is unsuitable for children, the infirm and has no facilities for disabled campers.

Location

Getting there...
From A12 take nearest exit to Deiva Marina (depending on approach direction) east of Portofino. Exciting stuff now! Proceed to the town centre. Take care to find the campsite signs as the road to the north is impassable for larger units! Cross the narrow bridge and test your skill down the narrow approach road with the Italian parking. You end up facing a narrow railway tunnel. Take a breath, check for cyclists in the dark interior and drive through to the site!
