Alan Rogers Review
This is a well situated site overlooking the sea on the attractive Jade Coast west of Pornic. There are 70 touring pitches which are rather worn, some with wonderful views of the sea, and a similar number of mobile homes, many of which are available for rent. All pitches have access to electricity (10A), though on some you may need a long cable. Much of the ground is sloping, so a really level pitch may not be available and access for larger units to some pitches may be tricky. The site has so much to offer, however, that any extra effort that may be needed to get installed is likely soon to be forgotten.
Facilities
Central sanitary block has spacious pre-set showers and washbasins in cabins. Facilities for disabled visitors. Room for dishwashing and laundry. Further facilities are in the pool building and another smaller block. Good restaurant (July-Aug; not Wednesdays) with small bar and terrace. Fitness room. Playground. Boules. Children’s activities and entertainment and sporting events for families (high season). Bicycle hire. WiFi.

Getting there...
Préfailles is 20 km. south of the St Nazaire bridge and 9 km. west of Pornic. From north on D213 (Route Bleue) turn southwest just south of St Michel-Chef-Chef on D96 to La Plaine-sur-Mer and follow signs for Préfailles. From Pornic take D13 to La Plaine but do not enter town. Follow signs for Préfailles. Continue on D313 past village towards La Pointe Saint-Gildas and at 50 km. sign turn left, then left again to site on right.
