Alan Rogers Review
A delightful little gem of a site in lovely surroundings, El Maset has 107 pitches, of which just 20 are slightly larger for caravans and motorcaravans, the remainder suitable only for tents. The site celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2011 and the owner, Sr Juan Perez is delightful and his staff are very helpful. The site entrance is steep and access to the caravan pitches can be quite tricky. However, the owner’s son will tow your caravan to your pitch. Some of the pitches are shaded and all have electricity, 20 also have water and drainage. Tent pitches are more shaded on attractive, steep, rock-walled terraces on the hillside.

From the C31 Figueres - Palamos road south of Pals, north of Palafrugell, take GI653 to Begur. Site is 2 km. north of the town; follow signs for Playa de Sa Riera and site (steep entrance).
