Camping du Jard is a well maintained site between La Rochelle and Les Sables-d’Olonne. First impressions are good, with a friendly welcome from M. Marton and his staff. The 160 touring pitches, all with electricity and 60 also with water and drainage, are level and grassy; many are hedged by bushes and a large variety of trees provide shade in places. An impressive pool complex has a heated outdoor pool with toboggan and paddling pool, plus an indoor pool with jacuzzi. The site is 700 m. from a sandy beach with many shops and restaurants nearby.
Facilities
Three toilet blocks (only one open in low season) provide basic facilities for babies and disabled visitors. Controllable showers in one block and others to come; some washbasins in cabins. Laundry facilities. Washing machines and dryers. Chemical disposal and motorhome service point. Shop (1/6-10/9), restaurant and bar (25/5-10/9). Heated outdoor pool (from 25/5); heated indoor pool (all season). Sauna, solarium and fitness room. Tennis. Minigolf. Bicycle hire. Play area, games and TV rooms. Internet point; free WiFi around bar. American motorhomes not accepted. No pets.

Getting there...
La Tranche-sur-Mer is 40 km. southeast of Les Sables d’Olonne. From A87 Cholet/La Roche-sur-Yon leave at exit 32 for La Tranche-sur-Mer and take D747 to La Tranche. Turn east following signs for La Faute-sur-Mer along bypass. Take exit for La Grière and then turn east to site.
