Doucier lies 25 km. east of Lons-le-Saunier among the wooded hills of the Jura and rather away from the main routes. This large, spacious site is in a parkland setting beside Lac de Chalain and is surrounded by woods and cliffs. Large areas are left for sports and recreation. The lake shelves gently but then becomes deep quite suddenly. The site also has an attractive, well equipped pool complex. There are 800 good sized, level pitches with 462 for touring units, Most have electricity (7A) and there are varying amounts of shade. Booking is obligatory for caravans and motorcaravans over 7 m.
Facilities
Nine well equipped sanitary blocks with facilities for babies and disabled people. Shops (some high season only). Restaurant, takeaway and bar (all season). Swimming pool complex with heated indoor pool (all season), outdoor pools (1/6-15/9) with slide, sauna and spa (one entrance per day). Many large play areas. Fishing. Pedalo and bicycle hire. Range of sports activities including rock climbing, archery, aquagym. TV room. Disco, entertainment, organised activities. Dogs not permitted on lake beach.
