De Watertoren is situated near the village of Landgraaf in the rolling hills of South Limburg. Surrounded by the trees and shrubs of the adjacent forest, the site focuses on families with children under 12 years old, nature lovers and those who are seeking peace and quiet. There are 120 touring pitches on grass with varying degrees of shade, spread out over several small fields. The German village of Ubach Palenberg is very close and a delightful cycle track crosses the border. The interesting cities of Aken (20 minutes), Maastricht and Valkenburg (both less than half an hour) are easily reached. Several annual music festivals are held nearby.

New comfortable, heated toilet block providing all facilities, accessed by keycard (€ 30 deposit). Bar and snack bar. Small shop. Daily fresh bread and the famous ‘Limburgse vlaai’ in high season and during holidays. Two swimming pools (15/5-1/9). Central play area and many other places where children can enjoy themselves. Recreation team in high season. Bicycle hire. Fishing rods for hire (lake 5 minutes). Sporting field. Boules. Mobile homes and chalets for rent.

Getting there...
From A2 motorway take exit 47 and follow signs towards Brunssum, briefly passing through Germany. From Brunssum follow signs to Landgraf and pass Brunssum golf course. Continue to Europaweg Noord, later Europaweg Zuid. Follow the small brown campsite signs. Site is about 1 km. from Landgraf. Sat nav address: Maastrichterweg.
