Alan Rogers Review
De Waps is a car-free site in the Gaasterland woodland in the most southern part of Friesland. It has a pleasant, quiet and tranquil atmosphere and offers 182 pitches, of which 140 are for tourers. The touring pitches are among the trees with shade and privacy, on slightly sloping ground. Access roads are of gravel and sand (can become dusty with dry weather). The pitches are numbered and most have 10A electricity. Some pitches are too small for larger units. Next to reception a small bar/restaurant, ‘It Raat’, supplies simple meals and drinks on an open air terrace.
