Alan Rogers Review
De Papillon is perhaps one of the best campsites in The Netherlands. The site is well thought through with an eye for detail and for nature and the environment. For example, at the toilet blocks, waste water from the showers is used to flush the toilets, all buildings are heated by solar energy and all rubbish is separated for recycling. The 245 touring pitches are spacious, averaging 120-160 sq.m. and all have electricity (4/10/16A) and an extra 120 ‘comfort’ pitches have been created. Arranged in small grassy fields surrounded by hedges and trees, each field provides a small play area. For more fun, children can visit a large adventure style play area, located adjacent to the (covered) heated pool and not far from reception.
