This site is easily accessed from the A15 southern Rotterdam ring road and is situated right by the river, so it is well worth considering if you are visiting the city or want a peaceful stop. The entrance is protected by a barrier and you have to drive up close in order to activate the intercom. Once through this, you pass a long strip of private chalets to an area of mixed seasonal and 75 touring pitches. There is a pleasant separate touring area for seven motorcaravans with electricity, water and waste water connections in a hedged group near the marina and river.

Best approached from the Hook/Rotterdam and then the A29 Rotterdam - Bergen op Zoom motorway. Leave A29 at exit 20 (Barendrecht) and follow signs for Heerjansdam and site
