Alan Rogers Review
On the banks of the Loire in Nevers, facing the cathedral and the Palais des Ducs across the river, this site has just 73 pitches. The area nearest the river is for tents and the terraces above for touring pitches, mainly grass but five hardstandings; there are 60 pitches with electricity (6/10A). The pitches are quite tight but larger units can be accommodated and the site is ideal for those who enjoy being able to wander into town or as a base to explore the region with its famous Burgundy wines of Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé.
Location
Getting there...
Nevers is 150 km. north of Clermont-Ferrand. Do not approach through the town. From the A77/N7 (Paris-Lyon) take exit 37 onto D976 (Bourges). Turn north at first roundabout towards ‘Centre Ville’. Site is signed to the right immediately before bridge across the Loire. Avoid arriving between 12.00-15.00 (site is closed) as there is no waiting place outside.
