Clausensee is set in an attractive lakeside location in the heart of the Pfälzerwald (Palatinate Forest), a vast area of natural beauty, and one of the largest forests in Europe. The site has 80 level, grassy pitches for tourers, some with shade and with electricity, fresh and waste water connections. A special area for large motorcaravans and a quick stop facility are located at the front of the site. Undoubtably, the focal point of the site is the fairly large lake, which is suitable for swimming and has rowing boats and pedaloes for hire. Fishing is also permitted (permits available at reception).
