This exceptionally well managed site is ideally positioned to use as a base to visit the spectacular Picos de Europa or one of the many sandy beaches along this northern coast. Despite its name, it is one kilometre from the beach on foot. The 100 touring pitches all have 10A electricity (long leads needed in places). The fairly flat central area is allocated to tents while caravans are mainly sited on wide terraces (access to some could be a little tight for larger units) and there is some shade. There may be some traffic noise on the lower terraces.

Getting there...
San Vicente de la Barquera is 60 km. west of Santander. From A8 (Santander - Oviedo) take exit at km. 258 (signed Caviedes) and join N634. Turn towards San Vicente. Site is signed at junction to Comillas, at km. 265 on the E70, 5 km. east of San Vicente de la Barquera. The entrance is quite steep. Another ‘Camping La Playa’ at Oyambre within 500 m. (on the beach) is not recommended.
