Alan Rogers Review
La Laguna is a relaxed, spacious site on an isthmus within a Catalan national maritime park, on the migratory path of many different birds. It has direct access to an excellent sandy beach and the estuary of the river Muga (also a beach). The owners continue to spend much time and effort on improvements. The double lagoons are a most attractive feature. The 756 pitches (with just 46 mobile homes) are shaded and clearly marked on grass and sand, all with 6/10A electricity. There are also 51 fully serviced pitches. A very attractive bar/restaurant and sitting room overlook the lagoons and there are two swimming pools (one is heated in low season).
Facilities
Five superb toilet blocks, placed to avoid long walks, have solar heated water. Laundry room. Bar, restaurant and takeaway. Comprehensive supermarket. Swimming pools (15/5-31/10). Football. Tennis (free in low seasons). ATM. Minigolf. Windsurfing and sailing schools (July/Aug). Fishing. Miniclub. Play areas. Bicycle hire. Riding. Entertainment programme and competitions. Satellite TV. Internet access. WiFi throughout (charged).

Location
Getting there...
Castelló d’Empúries is north of Girona and east of Figueras on the coast. From AP7/E15 take exit 3 south or exit 4 north (note there is no exit 3 north) and then N11 to the C260 towards Roses. At Castelló d’Empúries roundabout (there is only one) follow signs to Depuradora (2 km) and ‘camping’ for 4 km. on a hard track road to the site.
