Alan Rogers Review
The medieval Manhattan of San Gimignano is one of Tuscany’s most popular sites. This new site lies just 2 km. from the town and there are 100 small pitches here, all with electrical connections (10A). The site is in a wood surrounded by olive groves and vineyards and has been developed with much care for the environment, using rain water for irrigation, for example. San Gimignano has been classified by UNESCO as a world heritage site and is best known for its towers, built by rival families, and which date back to the 11th century. An hourly bus service connects the site with the town.
