Alan Rogers Review
A pleasant, traditionally laid out site with just 199 pitches, separated by hedges, on flat or gently sloping ground. Bois Soleil has an increasing number of mobile homes and chalets, leaving just 32 pitches for tourers and tents. All have electricity and water points and some have views out over the marshes and bird reserve. There is an excellent swimming pool complex with water slides plus an attractive indoor pool with hammam. The pleasant bar also provides snacks to eat in or take away in high season.
Facilities
The two toilet blocks have mainly British style toilets, modern pushbutton showers and washbasins in cubicles (in new block). Baby bath and changing. En-suite unit for disabled visitors. Blocks locked overnight, but basic toilet facilities provided. Dishwashing and laundry facilities. Shop (July/Aug)). Bar (all season with limited opening before 26/6. Snacks and takeaway service (26/6-28/8). Outdoor pool with waterslides and flume (heated 07/08); heated indoor pool with slide, paddling pool and hammam. Fitness room with sauna. Play areas, trampoline and table tennis. Minigolf. Bicycle hire. WiFi (charged). Internet point in reception. Only gas barbecues permitted.

Getting there...
Olonne-sur-Mer is 5 km. north of Les Sables d’Olonne. Site is off D80 coast road between Olonne-sur-Mer and Brem-sur-Mer, clearly signed. From La Roche-sur-Yon via A87/D160, turn west on D949 Les Sables Ring Road then north on D32 to Olonne-sur-Mer. Site is signed to left in town centre.
