Alan Rogers Review
Blaarmeersen is a comfortable, well managed municipal site in the west of the city. It adjoins a sports complex and a fair sized lake which together provide facilities for a variety of watersports, tennis, squash, minigolf, football, athletics track, roller skating and a playground. There are 238 pitches for touring units, these are flat, grassy, individually separated by tall hedges and mostly arranged in circular groups, all with electricity. There are 40 hardstandings for motorcaravans, plus a separate area for tents with barbecue facilities. There is noise from the nearby city ring road. There is a good network of paths and cycle routes around the city.

Getting there...
From E40 take exit 13 (Gent-West) and follow dual carriageway for 5 km. Cross second bridge and look for Blaarmeersen sign, turning sharp right and following signs to leisure complex. In city avoid overpasses - most signs are on the lower levels.
