The Dutch owners of Ascou la Forge will give you a warm, friendly welcome at their oasis in the mountains of the Pyrenees, close to the borders of Andorra and Spain. The site is 3,500 feet above sea level but is easily accessible for motorcaravans and caravans. Lying alongside the Lauze river, there are 50 pitches. In low season, 44 mainly level, grass touring pitches with electricity are available, but this number reduces to 20 in July and August to allow more room for the large influx of campers with tents. There are also three chalets, two bungalows and one apartment available to rent. The site is quite open but a few trees scattered around provide some shade.
Facilities
Modern, bright, sanitary block is fully equipped including facilities for disabled visitors which double as a family shower room with a baby bath. Shop. Bar with large screen for major sports events and films about the local flora/fauna. Play area. Maps and walking routes are available from reception. Free WiFi.

Getting there...
From Ax-Les-Thermes take D613 signed Quérigat, Quillan and Ascou-Pailhéres. After 3.6 km. turn right on D25 to site on right after 3.4 km.

Dogs are allowed on site and in rental acommodation. They can take a refreshing swim in the river and the reservoir. There are also many mountain lakes and rivers locally. Visitors with more than two dogs require permission.- Vet nearby (able to help with UK pet passports)
