A smart and efficient family site, Aquarius has direct access to a quiet sandy beach that slopes gently and provides good bathing (the sea is shallow for quite a long way out). Watersports are popular, particularly windsurfing (a school is provided). One third of the site has good shade with a park-like atmosphere. There are 430 touring pitches, all with electricity (6A). Markus Rupp and his wife are keen to make every visitor’s experience a happy one and even issue flags to denote the number of years they have stayed at the site. The site is ideal for those who really like sun and sea, with a quiet situation.

Facilities

Attractively tiled, fully equipped, large toilet blocks provide some cabins for each sex. Excellent facilities for disabled visitors, plus baths for children. Superb new block has underfloor heating and features family cabins with showers and basins. Laundry facilities. Gas supplies. Motorcaravan services. Full size refrigerators. Supermarket. Pleasant restaurant and bar with terrace. Takeaway. Purpose built play centre for children (with qualified attendant), playground and separate play area for toddlers. TV room. Surf Center. Minigolf. Bicycle hire. Barbecue and dance once weekly when numbers justify. ATM. Internet access. WiFi (charged). Dogs are accepted in one section. (Note: no pool).

Location

Getting there...
Attention: sat nav takes you on a different route, but easier to drive is from AP7 exit 3 (Figueres Nord) direction Roses on C-68. At roundabout Castello d’Empuries take second right to St Pere Pescador, cross town and river bridge. From there site is well signed.

What's special about this campsite

  The site is located between fields and meadows and a long sandy beach and, as it is also very close to several national parks, exercising your dog should not be a problem. In low season dogs are free of charge.
