Val de Coise is a member of the Campéole group and is situated in the undulating landscape of the Massif Central, north of St Etienne. It is an attractive site located between the River Coise and a dense forest. The 92 pitches are grassy and of a good size with most of the 52 for touring units with 16A electricity. Mobile homes, chalets and fully equipped tents are available for rent. There is plenty of activity here in high season with a children’s club and regular discos and karaoke evenings. This is rugged, dramatic country – ideal for walking and mountain biking. The nearby spa town of St Galmier is home to the Badoit water plant, a casino, restaurants and a number of art galleries.

The single toilet block is central. It is kept clean and is neatly tiled and painted. Small baby room. Facilities for disabled visitors. Good motorcaravan services. Small shop in reception. No bar or snacks. Swimming pool (July/Aug). Multisport terrain. TV room. Play area. Miniolf. Boules. Bouncy castle. Fishing. Activities and entertainment programme. WiFi (free for an hour, then charged). Mobile homes, chalets and equipped tents for rent.

Getting there...
From St Etienne, head north on the A72 and leave at the Andrezieux Bouthéon St Galmier exit. Take the D100, then the D12 to St Galmier. Site is well signed from here.
