Les Sirènes is a large campsite located in the forest behind the popular resort of St Jean-de-Monts. The nearest beach, just 700 m. away, is long and sandy, shelving very gradually into the sea. Pitches here vary considerably; some, ideal for tents, are among the tall pine trees, whilst others are on flat ground but still with shade provided by a variety of younger trees. Most have electrical connections and water taps nearby. A number of equipped tents and mobile homes (including specially adapted models for disabled visitors) are available for rent.
Facilities
Several small sanitary blocks serve the different parts of the site, though in low season only the main block is open. They are fairly basic, though a programme of refurbishment has begun. Some modern preset showers and mainly open-style washbasins (a few are in cabins) with only cold water. Washing machines and dryers. Shop, takeaway (July/Aug). Heated swimming pools with paddling pool (1/06-11/09, supervised 07/08). Multisport pitch. Bicycle hire. Bouncy castle. Archery. Play area. Children’s club and activities programme (07/08). Tourist information. WiFi (charged) around reception. Mobile homes and equipped tents for rent.

Getting there...
From southern end of D38/D38bis St Jean bypass turn north on D38 Route des Sables towards town. At next roundabout go left on D123 Avenue Valentin, signed La Plage. Bear right at second roundabout, then after 1.2 km. turn right at roundabout along Avenue des Mimosas into Avenue des Demoiselles. Site is signed and is on right in 400 m.
