Le Dornier is an extensive site, located on land belonging to the French forestry commission and close to the popular resort of St Jean-de-Monts. The site has direct access to a superb sandy beach and also has a good sized heated swimming pool. The 232 touring pitches, all with electricity (6A) available, are mostly sandy and of a reasonable size. A range of chalets, fully equipped bungalow tents and mobile homes are available for rent including some models specially adapted for campers with disabilities. The site has a small bar and snack bar (July/Aug) just along the road.
Facilities
Three sanitary blocks, serving each section of the site, have recently been attractively refurbished to a very high standard with modern preset showers, washbasins in cubicles, and excellent facilities for babies, children and disabled visitors. Hot water for dishwashing and laundry sinks. Washing machines and dryers. Chemical disposal. Motorhome service point. Other blocks still await refurbishment. Direct beach access. Heated swimming pool and paddling pool (8/5-11/09, supervised July/Aug). Bicycle hire. Archery (July/Aug). Multisports court. Bouncy castle. Snack bar adjacent (July/Aug). Play area. Activities and entertainment programme (July/Aug). Tourist information. WiFi (charged) around reception. Mobile homes, equipped tents and chalets for rent. Only gas or electric barbecues permitted.

Getting there...
Saint Jean-de-Monts is 55 km. northwest of La Roche-sur-Yon. The site is 6 km. north of St Jean-de-Monts on the D38 towards Notre Dame-de-Monts. Turn west at the roundabout at Les Tonnelles where site is signed and is on right in 300 m.
