Camping Clairefontaine is situated on the outskirts of Royan, 300 m. from a golden sandy beach and a casino. This is a busy site which has benefited from much recent investment, and many of the facilities, especially the sanitary facilities, are of a high standard. There are 300 pitches, of which 115 are available for touring units. Electricity is available to all pitches, but some may require long leads. The site is mostly shaded and level with easy access to pitches. American motorhomes are accepted but care is needed on the entrance road to the site as it is not wide enough for two vehicles to pass.

Two very modern sanitary blocks. Good facilities for disabled visitors. Washing machines. Ironing room. Motorcaravan services. Bar and restaurant with takeaway (June - mid Sept). Large swimming and paddling pools (from June). Four play areas. Games room with TV. Tennis. Basketball. Entertainment in high season. Internet access. WiFi in some areas (charged). Accommodation to rent (123 units).

Getting there...
Exit Royan on Avenue de Pontaillac towards La Palmyre. Turn right at the casino on the front, up Avenue Louise. Site is on left after 200 m. and is signed.
