Alan Rogers Review
This attractive, mountain site is well situated on the edge of a small village and is open all year round. It takes its name from the magnificent, centuries old chestnut trees. The owners here have completely cleared a former campsite and started afresh. The sanitary facilities are brand new and of top quality, the pool, bar and small restaurant are also very good. The pretty Swiss-style rental chalets and the pitches are on terraced ground and all 15 very small touring pitches have access to electricity (3A), water and drainage. The amenities here promise to make this site extremely popular with people looking for a quiet site with good scenery.
Location
Getting there...
Site is clearly signed from the centre of Montecreto which is between Sestola and Pievepelago on the SS324. The site is best approached from Modena as the southern approach, from Pistioa or Lucca via Abetone, involves steep climbs and numerous hairpin bends.
