Camp Galeb

Omis, Dalmatia, Dalmatia

Alan Rogers Review

Galeb is 25 km. south of Split and sits below the Cetine Canyon which can deliver strong winds from the east. The river Cetine is just to the north of the site and the pretty port where river meets sea is a powerful attraction, which is complemented by the ancient forts and pirate buildings above. A dramatic 1,000 metre rock backdrop to the whole site reflects the light differently as the day progresses and the superb sunsets paint it with amazing orange and red hues. The 340 numbered touring pitches are flat and most have some shade, 130 are fully serviced. Some pitches are right at the water’s edge, but these are not well defined and they often get very crowded. Long electricity leads may be required.
