The first vision of California Camping on the approach is the excellent lagoon style, pool complex with its bridges and large fountain surrounded by palms. A smart bar, pizzeria and restaurant complex are in an octagonal building overlooking the pools. The cheerful restaurant with its bright décor boasts a fine menu at good prices. The 420 pitches for touring units are rather big, arranged in close level rows under tall pines, which give excellent shade. Pitches are a little dusty from the combination of the pine needles and fine dark sand. Electricity is provided and cars are parked separately in high season.

Site is 100 km. north of Rome off the SS1 between Ortobello and Civitavecchia. At Montalto di Castro take minor road to the coast and Montalto Marina. On approach to town, site is clearly signed.
