Alan Rogers Review
Askehøj Camping is a quiet family site on partially-terraced ground near Silkeborg. This is the Danish Lake District in the centre of the country’s most beautiful natural area. The 280 pitches here are in rows on small rectangular fields, each taking 6-10 units. Most pitches are level and the rows are separated by high bushes. Askehøj takes 190 touring units, all with electricity (6/10/13A). A new small sanitary block serves the furthest pitches. The site is surrounded by mature trees. According to the owner, most people come here to enjoy walking, cycling and fishing (there is a lake nearby) or to visit Silkeborg or Århus.
