Bertrix is located at the heart of the Belgian Ardennes, between the towns of Bastogne and Bouillon and overlooking the hills of the Semois valley. There are 498 terraced pitches, giving an open aspect and views for everyone, of which 303 level touring pitches, all with electricity (10A), are scattered amongst a variety of seasonal caravans and there is a friendly feel to the area. The activities, particularly for children, are of a high standard and well supervised. A visit to the nearby ruined castle at Bouillon is a must as well as experiencing the many Belgian beers. The war memorial and excellent museum at Bastogne commemorate the Battle of the Bulge.

Facilities

Five well appointed toilet blocks, one with facilities for disabled visitors. The central one has a large laundry and a special, brightly decorated unit for children, with basins, toilets, showers of varying heights and baby baths in cubicles. Motorcaravan service point. Shop for basics and bread. Excellent restaurant and bar (closed in low season on Tuesday and Thursday), with satellite TV and Internet access and a terrace overlooking pool. Large heated swimming and paddling pools (27/4-16/9, supervised high season). Tennis. Bicycle hire. Children’s games room. Ardennes chalets and holiday homes for rent.

Location

Getting there...
Take exit 25 from the E411 motorway and join the N89 towards Bertrix. After 6.5 km. join the N884 to Bertrix and upon arrival in the town, follow yellow signs to site.
